Hadrian’s Cycleway is National Route 72, part of the National Cycle Network maintained by Sustrans, the charity that supports travelling by foot, bike or public transport. For shorter routes, there are numerous do-in-a-day rides, both circular and linear, incorporating bike-carrying public transport if need be, available from TICs or from route you choose, you can discover the many Roman sites dotted throughout the World Heritage Site, and a variety of other historic and modern attractions and picturesque villages, all set in glorious scenery.
